Runaway Slide was asked to open for one of Quebec's top harmonica players Guy Belanger. Over 240 people came to the show at the Salle Andre Mathieu in Laval even though the temperatures outside were at -25 degrees Celsious or -13 Fahrenheit. For those of you not from the area this is far from being a normal temperature. The average age of the members of the audience must have been four times that of Runaway Slide. We were all concerned that they may not have appreciated the edgier performance that the boys deliver. However, we were very wrong. The crowd loved the performance. Their set ended with a standing ovation. After the show many people came to congratulate the boys for their performance. We would like to thank Guy Belanger and Brian Slack for giving Runaway Slide the opportunity to perform at this venue.
